Mr. James Beauchamp: Jim Beauchamp is the founder of a tournament to support under-privileged youth wishing to play football. The success of this event has grown and is now in its fourteenth year. Mr. Beauchamp has also run a tournament for eight years in support of the Kidney Foundation. He has been the driving force behind the Hudson St. Patrick’s Day parade now in its 8th year. In addition, he has hosted a variety of events such as charity breakfasts and sponsored many events in the community such as the Ste. Anne’s Garlic Festival, the Hudson Soap Box Derby, to name just a few. Mr. Beauchamp has been involved with the Western Patriots Midget Football organizations for many years. He dedicates considerable hours of his time to improving the spirit of the community. It seems whenever someone wants to make something happen, Jim is the “go-to guy” that brings everyone together to make it happen. For this reason it is my privilege to recognize your outstanding contribution to the community with the Senate of Canada 150 Medal.
